BATMAN & ROBIN

For the Warner Brothers motion picture, "Batman and Robin," FLASH FILM WORKS was part of a team of visual effects studios working together under the supervision of John Dykstra. Flash created a digital matte painting of Gotham City which was used by other effects houses for compositing and reference. We also performed rig and wire removal work on the film.

In this shot, we replaced the front of the freeze mobile eliminating the headlight and its reflection. This was done because it was decided in editing that the freeze beam should not be on at this time. We also removed wires from the tires of the crashed cars. The crane in the upper left hand corner was also removed.

This matte painting of the frozen Gotham City was created by Tim Donahue and was used as background for a number of shots in the finished film.
