FLASH FILM WORKS was the supervising company for all visual effects on "The Demolitionist."  The director, Bob Kurtzman, one of the owners of KNB FX Group, had worked with William Mesa on previous projects so it was an easy collaboration.

Here we created a scene where the star, Nicole Eggert, gets a rocket shot at her while on a motorcycle and then gets engulfed in an explosion and comes out of it alive. We created the explosion as a digital composite element and rotoed around her and engulfed her in flames.

We also created a digital matte painting lab where we composited our digital city outside the windows of a laboratory. We included a live action plate with two of the actors viewing the lab and added miniature model elements of the control table as well as the control panels that where then composited into the digital matte painting.
